What's the Best Policy for Economic Growth?
Delegates at the British Trade Union Congress' After
Austerity conference, such as Ha-Joon Chang, Duncan
Weldon, Stefan Stern, Dave Powell and Kathy Dyson,
suggest ways the Treasury could promote growth in the
stagnant British economy. Ideas include making banks
lend to businesses, investment in construction and
transport infrastructure and cutting the rate of the
Value Added Tax.
