An Urgent Message from Portside: Save the Internet
The Internet is disruptively democratic. The Internet is the
greatest and most accessible aggregation of knowledge -- by
orders of magnitude -- in human history. Though some
governments attempt to censor it, the Internet is a
tremendous force of citizen empowerment, a realm of free
expression and organization. The Internet is a harbinger of
a political spring -- a more humane and democratic future
and an instrument of speeding its arrival.
Two bills before the U.S. Congress -- SOPA and PiPa, each
with bipartisan support, would strike at the heart of

otherwise protesting these bills and urging visitors to join
in the protest.
